Isn't it funny how we limit the amount of wishes to which we say YES to our kids. We do it so they don't get spoiled basically, thinking life doesn't serve you things, it's not good to have a Peter Pan son when he grows up (or doesn't, unfortunately...).
And still we serve other victims of consumerism (adults) exactly what they think they need in any aspect of their life. In marketing, it's called crafting a product for the niche of the nichiest niche, and it's supposed to work.
The result looks the same for both kids and adult kids. They want more and forget they ever used a thing they bought previously. Ultimately, not appreciating what is really important...
